Even though he does feel bad forcing Livio to sleep on the floor, he is grateful to be allowed this space here. He wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
He decides to keep the jacket and everything on, since it's still bitterly cold and he has not fully recovered from nearly freezing to death in the Grove. He does pause, however, as he goes to lay down and sees that Livio is handing him something.
